Strawberry & Banana Shake with Almond Milk
This delicious creamy milkshake is thick, filling, flavourful and delicious.
I like to use frozen fruit. I always keep some bananas, strawberries and blueberries in the freezer. I like to freeze these fruit as they ripen and go off fairly quickly. Frozen fruit still has raw potential, containing about 60% of the enzymes as fresh.
Directions
Start with making some almond milk by soaking 1 cup of almonds in some water for 8 hours. Rinse and then blend the almonds at high speed with 3 cups of fresh water.
Strain the mixture through fine muslin or a nut milk bag and then place 1 cup of the milk back into the blender with 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries and ½ fresh or frozen banana. Also add 2 dates and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Blend again until silky smooth. Quite delicious!
Put the remainder of the milk in the fridge, where it will keep for about 3 days.
